 <title>Zadby Announces First Product Placement Win</title>

marketplace for arranging and selling product placement spots. Can there be only one (site) or will there be
a couple to shop from? (And I really
have to start making video PDQ ...)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Zadby brokered a pair of deals for Polk Audio to feature
their product. One is a, shall we say, particularly, um, bad or funny or badly
funny rap parody highlighting a Polk I-sonic iPod docking station at the
beginning of the clip while the second features an office worker who plugs her
iPod into the Polk and ends up in a (tasteful) belly dancing day dream before
walking out of the office. (There&#039;s also
the promotional angle of reporters yakking about the clips; I vote for the
belly dance over the rappers). &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Producers received $2,000 to make the clips and will get
$12.80 per each thousand views from now through September. Zadby keeps track of
the statistics.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Zadby says until they came along there was no effective way
of &quot;engaging online user generated content&quot; (i.e. finding some low-budget
hungry video producer) while ensuring brand consistency and alignment. The company provides a production and legal
framework to help with the creation, posting, tracking and payment for
low-budget, er user generated videos with product placement in them.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>The Product Placement eBay</title>

launched a product placement marketplace - - call it eBay with a viral twist -
- where online video creators can get paid to feature physical products in their
productions, including user-generated videos, serial mini-dramas, videoblogs
(Hmm, yet another reason to get the &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.theflip.com/&quot;&gt;Flip&lt;/a&gt; in gear) and webisodes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In this marketplace, advertisers can search Storybids&amp;rsquo; database
to find video creators who meet their demographic requirements, such as
viewership, subscriptions, and ratings or by genre or age. Video creators looking
to fund their projects can now look for product placement deals. There&amp;rsquo;s also a
&amp;ldquo;social media&amp;rdquo; component for filmmakers to swap advice and collaborate on
projects.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Storybids has been a work in progress for two years, first
securing a round of venture capital from Canada and then doing a &amp;ldquo;soft
launch&amp;rdquo; of a beta marketplace in February.  The website has the capability to accept any
form of digital media, such as a storyboard, images, or video as an example for
advertisers to peruse for brand placement opportunities. Storybids is also offering distribution and video
analytics measurement, optimizing finalized video for search engines and
submitting product to video sites such as YouTube, MySpaceTV, and MetaCafe.&lt;/p&gt;
