YuMe to serve video ads for msnbc.com properties
YuMe, an online video ad network, announced it will power the ad serving for leading news site msnbc.com. YuMe will use its ACE advertising platform to place advertising in MSNBC embedded video players.
The ad network will provide advertising and monetization assistance to NBC properties, TODAYshow.com and Nightly.msnbc.com, according to the press release.
"From the moment we rolled out embedded video, consumers all over the web have been discovering and experiencing all of the great video content that msnbc.com has to offer," Kyoo Kim, vice president of sales at msnbc.com, said in a release. "By tapping into YuMe's targeting and ad optimization capabilities, we can monetize those video experiences. And marketers, who previously shied away from viral video, can now associate themselves with msnbc.com's quality, trusted content and take advantage of viral distribution."
YuMe also said it would help sell unsold advertising inventory through its network.
