Technology will pass video hub Hulu by in two years making it irrelevant, Verizon Communications CEO Ivan Seidenberg told an audience at the Paley Center, part of a CNBC event. “Look at Hulu and the dialogue and debate,” he said, “(it’s) in for the next eight to 12 months and in two years it won’t matter because the world will have moved on.”

He also was asked about the impending sale of NBC Universal to Comcast from General Electric, and responded that he hoped Verizon would be treated fairly by the new venture, which would be controlled by cable-giant Comcast. “The only issue is, do they treat us fairly and consistently?” said Seidenberg. “I assume our lawyers will work that out.”
