SPOTLIGHT: Vudu spells savings
Internet video-on-demand service Vudu has announced a tempting new price structure for some of its video downloads. The company now will offer a "99 for 99 cents" section of films.
Unlike other similar bargain offers made previously by brick-and-mortar video rental stores, Vudu offers reputable movies that actually were shown in theaters before their DVD/video release. So instead of getting garbage like "Hostel 2" or "Epic Movie" for a buck, you can pick from a mix of classics and new releases like "The Big Lebowski," "Chinatown," and "I Am Legend" without shelling out the usual cash.
