The FeedRoom buys DAM provider ClearStory
The FeedRoom, one of the first online video solutions companies to enter the market, announced the acquisition of digital-asset management (DAM) software provider ClearStory. The ClearStory ActiveMedia 7.5 open-source DAM platform will be integrated with FeedRoom's 4.0 Enterprise Video Platform, which was launched last month. Merging the two products will allow for major media companies to use a single-system solution to manage and deliver their content over multiple platforms with ease. Terms of the acquisition were not released.
"ClearStory has established industry leadership in the efficient application of DAM solutions in the corporate marketing sector, including some of the largest Fortune 500 companies." said Mark Portu, President and CEO of The FeedRoom, in a prepared statement. "As companies continue to accelerate the application of rich media in their online marketing efforts, the seamless integration of ClearStory's advanced DAM capabilities into the FeedRoom 4.0 EVP will be a huge win for our mutual customers, allowing them to dramatically improve the efficiency of their operations."
ClearStory president Michael Lam said the FeedRoom and ClearStory will combine to create even more value and better performances of online campaigns. He noted that the FeedRoom's online video expertise will help ClearStory meet the continued rise in demand for video assets and video delivery.
