Delve and Akamai announce partnership

Delve Networks and Akamai announced a strategic partnership that will see Delve offer Akamai CDN services and support for variable bit rate streaming capabilities to its video publishing clients. Delve said it would leverage Akamai's global network to provide its customers reach into new markets.

The companies said the combined offering would contain all features and tools needed to develop an end-to-end online video publishing system, including ingestion, encoding, syndication and analytics, among other features.

Online video publishing platforms such as Delve increasingly have signed integration deals with CDNs to create synergies and robust online video offerings. Brightcove, Ooyala, and thePlatform, among other online video platforms, have teamed up with CDNs to offer this sort of integrated offering.
