President Bush's near-assault by an angry Iraqi journalist's footwear is a bizarre epilogue to his almost completed term. People have been devouring online videos of the event since it occurred on Sunday morning.

Bush barely dodged the two shoes disgruntled Iraqi journalist Muntadar al-Zaidi threw at him during at a press conference, and the more than 300 videos of the event have been viewed 2.4 millions times with 18,214 comments in just over 24 hours, according to divinity Metrics. NewTeeVee is reporting that videos of the incident have been viewed 3.7 million times, however, possibly due to differences in metrics technology.

Either way, there has been tremendous demand to see the soon departing president narrowly dodge the loafer attack. Men were much more interested in the video, making up 76 percent of the video audience. Demand for the video also was overwhelmingly centered in the U.S., with 81 percent of total views, followed by the UK with slightly more than 6 percent. More than 80 percent of the views came from people younger than 44 years old, signifying that the video played really well with 18-34 male demographic.
