Blip Better Than YouTube
Everyone wants to outdo the king (YouTube). USAToday.com likes blip.tv better than YouTube when it comes to posting videos and distributing them to other sites.
Blip.tv offers distribution to other "channels," including AOL Video, Yahoo, and MSN Video, plus it can get directly sapped to iTunes through the blip "dashboard." Video doesn't have to be converted to lower-quality Flash, but can stay in QuickTime. Videos can also be easily embedded into blogs and websites. There's also no weekly upload limits; just keep your file under 1 GB on the upload.
If Twitter is your thing, a simple tab click can notify your "followers" without typing. Multiple video files can be uploaded at once and blip puts in professional-looking credits and titles. Finally, Video posters can share in blip ad revenues.

Blip.tv really has a strong understanding of what premium creators want in terms of tools, distribution, analytics, etc.
YouTube does a pretty good job with connecting a user generated community together. I think they both have positives and negatives, and although they are competitors to each other, they also have their specific niches and target them very well.
Blip.tv will likely never tap the viral effect like YouTube does, which should keep YouTube well out front for many years to come.
