Adap.tv's OneSource 2.0 raises ad fill rates

On Monday Adap.tv released OneSource2.0, a significant upgrade to its online video ad serving platform that offers unique fail-over ad serving and daily metrics on ad network performance. OneSource2.0 could have a demonstrable effect on publisher's online video ad revenue, because of the fail-over priority's high percentage of ads served and the granularity of its reporting on the revenue generated by specific ad networks.

OneSource2.0 streamlines a publisher's ad needs as it can place both online video ads and HTML-tagged display ads, improving the publisher's ad inventory fill rate.

"When a publisher doesn't have fail-over capability, their fill rates are usually around 25 percent," said Dakota Sullivan, vice president of marketing for Adap.tv. "OneSource2.0 can bring those rates up around 70 percent, which improves business performance."

Sullivan said OneSource2.0 also helps the businesses that implement it because of its business intelligence layer, which provides specific location and demographic tagged ads to matching viewers. The platform supports all major ad networks, and running a campaign with a chosen network is as easy as uploading an ad tag to the system.
