NAB Show 2009 Online Video and IPTV recap
After spending a couple days in Las Vegas last week at the 2009 NAB Show, and then taking a couple more days to recoup from the red-eye and process all the information from the event, Fierce offers you some trends we witnessed developing at the show and points out areas that disappointed or didn't live up to pre-show hype.
Online video and IPTV companies had slews of announcements out about product launches, partnerships and customer wins, and as you'll see from the hot topics from the show, the two worlds are moving toward each other and connecting more than ever. The convergence of technology and content from the two industries we witnessed at the Show compelled us to present you this as a joint IPTV and Online Video piece, as many of the announcements made by traditional players in either space had significance for the other.
If you attended the Show, we'd love to hear your opinion about how you thought it went, and if there were topics that surprised or interested you that we missed. This is by no means an all-inclusive list, but rather an overview and highlight of the major developments at NAB 2009.
