What qualified Auditude for the round of funding?
Auditude CEO Adam Cahan said in an email that the company set out in 2008 to accomplish a number of milestones and goals around revenues, partners and product development. Auditude inked a major deal with MySpace and MTV Networks in November 2008 that helped the companies monetize unauthorized uploaded videos by identifying them and streaming ads around them. This deal and others helped establish Auditude's customer base and Cahan said the company did not have a hard time securing interest from venture capital firms due to its track record in deals such as this one.

How does the company plan to deploy the capital it drew down?
Cahan said the capital will allow the company to execute on its plans to expand its go-to-market team and service organization.

What qualified AnySource for the round of funding?
There are still VCs putting their money to work, and we had no shortage of interest from a range of different sized firms. It's part of the life of a start-up; you're always considering funding sources and actively working on fundraising.

But I think what's different in this environment is that the VCs are scrutinizing the businesses much more. It's less about buzz and more on business fundamentals at this point. The strength and experience of our leadership team was one major reason for our success raising this round. We have several people on board with successful start-ups in their background.

How does the company plan to deploy the capital it drew down?
AnySource CEO Mike Harris said the main objective with the funding round is scaling the company.  He said the company's technology platform has room to grow by adding capabilities, and it plans to use some of the capital to fuel the commercial roll out of the product.
